6 Ways to Find Hiring Industries in Your Area

If the economy has affected your employment prospects, consider applying your skills in a new industry. The health-care, high-tech, energy and life-sciences sectors of the economy continue to drive demand for professional and management talent, according to some recruitment-industry consultants.

But before leaping to another field or find government jobs in Pakistan, you’ll need to first identify the right industry and re position yourself as a legitimate candidate.

Find an area that interests you. A hobby or personal interest may lead to your next career. For example, if you are in financial services and are a technology buff, consider looking at in-house finance positions at tech companies.

Learn the landscape. To assess opportunities, research the market for your functional areas of expertise and the relative health of any sector you might go into. Look beyond research on compensation and industry trends by educating yourself on how a company or industry runs and any pending legislation that may affect the employment outlook in a field. Review analyst reports, scour RSS feeds, and set up Google News Alerts by keyword once you've narrowed a field of interest.

Examine your experience. Identify transferable skills and value. It’s not uncommon for professionals to cross industries. In those cases, you’re hired not as an industry expert but as an innovative leader with potential. Try working with a career adviser to identify your strengths and figure out what differentiates you and what might put you above others with experience in your targeted field.

Develop a communications strategy. Create a core message that shows your value and identifies your point of differentiation while applying for jobs in Pakistan or in any other region. Use your resume, cover letter and networking sites such as LinkedIn to build visibility and credibility. To refine your message, consider different but authentic websites or web programs that will help you create a summary statement.

Consider a recruitment agency. Some agencies will present clients with candidates who aren't industry insiders. Many clients are willing to consider cross-over talent in industries where the demand for talent exceeds the supply. To find firms that work with “cross-over” talent, check out recruiter directories that can be easily searched through internet.

Be prepared for compensation adjustments. A change of industry may affect your bottom line; prepare your financial strategy in private and show that you can adjust. “Demonstrate that you are willing to put your own skin in the game,” says one recruiter.

10 Steps to Follow To Get Higher Rank in Google

Are you satisfied with your website?

Do you believe that your site is drawing in enough traffic, people are getting what they came for, and there's really no room for improvement?

Many of you obviously say ‘NO’. You might searching any good web development company for hiring their SEO services to get better rank. If this is so, than you are reading a very beneficial article because below in this article I am going to tell you 10 simple steps to score higher rank in all search engines.

Follow these Ten Steps to get a Well-Optimized Site and I think you'll see that these goals are not as lofty as you might think.

Step 1: What Is Search Engine Optimization?

In a very basic nutshell, search engine optimization, or SEO for short, is making your site and the site's individual pages visible and relevant to both search engines and search engine users.

Step 2: Target Marketing-Does Your Internet Marketing Strategy Match Your Intended Audience?

Understanding your audience is a huge part of a successful search engine optimization strategy. You need to pinpoint who it is you will be marketing your site to, and write your content accordingly. This might seem like a no-brainier, but it's worth a serious look.

Step 3: Make Your Site Search-Engine Friendly

What are keywords, and why should you learn about them? Keywords are simply targeted words that determine which category your site will be listed under in search engines and directories, as well as words that searchers input to search engines in order to find relevant sites. If you don't do your homework and select targeted key phrases, you are missing a significant portion of potential traffic.

Step 4: Include Keywords and Phrases in Your Content and Source Code

You've got your hard-earned list of keywords, now you're going to have to actually put them somewhere. The more places you can reasonably put your keywords, the easier you will be found. That being said, don't go nuts and paste them in every nook and cranny. This is called "keyword stuffing" and search engines don't look kindly on this practice.

Step 5: Good Content

Compelling content on your website is the essential key to good search engine results. Obviously, there are many more factors that search engine spiders look at when indexing a website, but content is the vital foundation on which good rankings are built.

Step 6: Use Title Tags in Search Engine Optimization

Although the title tag is kind of the redheaded stepchild of search engine optimization, its lack of notoriety does not make it any less important. Most search engines index the contents of the title tag, and actually make it one of the most important factors in the ranking process.
So if you don't have an optimized title tag, you might be missing the boat as far as rankings are concerned.

Step 7: Keywords and Description Meta Tags

These two tags are not very important in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit counts. Make your Meta tags optimized and help search engines to index your site better.

Step 8: Search-Engine Friendly Site Design

Having a search engine friendly web design helps boost search engine ranking, therefore a concept that should not be taken for granted by website owners and designers. It is a big help in terms of search engine optimization. But since SEO is a very dynamic concept, what may be effective techniques today may no longer be effective tomorrow. The same holds true web the concept of search engine friendly web design. It is best website owners and designers should be updated with the latest concepts in web design and search engine optimization.

Step 9: Site Submission-The Basics of Submitting Your Site

Search engines have gotten so good at indexing websites that it's not really necessary to go through the saga of site submission-unless you have a brand new site, in which it's highly suggested that you submit to a search directory.

Step 10: Wait For Results

You've done the work; now how long are you going to have to wait to see improvement in your ranking results? The answer is different for every site, however, if you keep plugging away using the suggestions in these Ten Steps and are patient, eventually you will see the results you're looking for.

Stop Complaining About Your Management - Learn To Deal With Them

Management Jobs Are Not Easy To Handle

Nearly in every organization employees are seen complaining about those in management jobs. “My manager is so dumb that he can’t even do his job”, “I hate my management. They never appreciates me”. OK! I believe you. But did you ever look at yourself? Why do you think that you’re better than your management? How can you say that your management is so dumb that they can’t even do their own jobs?
I’m sorry for being so rude, but I really don’t like such complaining attitude. I’m not into management job nor part of the decision-makers but an executive. I hear and observe such behaviors all the time. And this makes me so frustrating that I feel to leave such complainers all alone and don’t talk to them ever. But this isn't me. As I've better ways to deal with such whiners. What I do is simple and easy:
  • I snoop to such whiners but don’t boost-up their anger. After heeding to what they've to say I simply try to cool them down by different ways. “Man you’ll find such management far and wide, you can’t change them your way but you've to adjust yourself.” You don’t have to adapt yourself just like them but try something as their perceptions and try a little to bring something new in them. The first half is easy but the real challenge is to change them. But believe me it isn't that hard, unless your management is a real jerk. If your boss is just like this way, it might be the right time to complain to the higher management or go out and start finding new job opportunities.
  • The other thing I use to avert their attention is to warn them that it is a sin to talk bad of someone on their back. If you have some real issues with the ones holding the management job, talk to them or to the senior management. But remember that you have to make it certain that you were not wrong or bad with them at all. This make the whiners stop complaining and they start thinking “maybe I've done or said something wrong. Maybe I need to change myself first.”
  • And if nothing works, simply throwing a joke or talking fun or something thrilling diverts their mind and they feel a bit light.

When you’re in an employment remember that you won’t get everything as you imagined. Being in an employment isn't that easy. BUT not that hard too. You've to be a little smart or should I say DIPLOMATIC. Few tips to make your job a much happier job:
  •  Think positive and think big
  • None is your friend and none is your enemy
  • You’re there to learn and earn, so just do these. Don’t try to change the world, as this isn't the right time
  • Communicate effectively and serenely
  • Respect everyone

I’m doing pretty well with my job and with the ones in management jobs. I've days when my performance goes below the lowest acceptable level, yet my management don’t whine. And the reasons being the above pointers. I knew them all but start practicing them as I got my current job. Employments not only teach us how to do our jobs, how to improve our skills but they also teach us to work in an organization, how to become a pro and helps us in building leadership and managerial skills.

So fellows stop complaining and start acting and curl in your career.

Things to consider for a job interview, from the employers perspective

Interview is a nerve wrecking experience not just for the job seekers but also for the recruiting managers too.  Recruiters in Pakistan are in lot of pressure to tap in the talented lot to increase the flair pool of the business veins.  As there can be an issue of illegal or out of context which may offend the job seekers and recruiting agency lost a chance to hire the most appropriate candidate.
Therefore, recruiters should prepare well before going to interview someone as it is important to have answers before throwing questions on the interview’s face.

Before interviewing a job candidate, a recruiter must consider following things:

Assess the number of questions you can ask: employers have to select a pattern of question s so that he may not get mislead during the course of questioning.  Being an employer, you should be immensely cautious to not raise questions which are either offending or can raise the issues of company’s discriminatory policies regarding the religious, marital status of the candidates or gender inequality. Having such questions during the interview can question the company’s policies and overall reputation. At times, in order to did in the personality of the candidate or to prolong small harmless talks, employers get in to the discussion over kids and family which seems a little off limits particularly for employees besieged with work life balance.

Be in touch with technology: this becomes more important when you are conducting a video interview or telephone screening. Make sure that you know to adjust the sound levels and other technological stuff to avoid any last minute catastrophe.

Be aware of the job responsibilities you are hiring for:  if you are interviewing for a particular job like an accountant job in Pakistan, be aware of the responsibilities an accountant job in Pakistan brings on the table. Prepare technical questions related to the field. If you are hiring for an accountant job in Pakistan, beware of all the task that he is supposed to perform in the course of time you must have in hand basic industry knowledge and the trends followed by leading patterns.  Have in hand the job resume and credentials of the job seeker to know the potentials of the candidate.

Hiring a software development - Ask Questions Till You're Convinced

Business are always looking for a software development service provider to help either manage their business or increase sales. Hiring a software development company is a tough job. This is a risk that not all can take. Developing a software from a wrong service provider may suffer from loses. And if misused, you may even a threat to your business. So before hiring a software development company, it’s imperative to ask some questions. Some of the questions are given below and many more can be asked:

How much do you charge?

When you’re hiring the services of a software development service provider, they’ll be charging you with some fees. Their price will be based on several factors like:
  • The time required to complete your assignment
  • Their reputation
  • Their expertise
  • The nature of the assignment
  • The purpose of the software may also contribute in setting the total price.

Their reputation

Reputation is very important when hiring the services of a software development company. You must be sure that the entrusted service provider delivers you the project in time with all the features you agreed upon. Other means of checking on repute are:
  • Who were their previous clients?
  • What were the results and how satisfied were their clients with their services?
  • Demand for previous projects
  • Look into their history by reviewing their portfolio.

What are their expertise?

A software development company may provide other services as well like virtual assistance, web development and designing services, mobile application development etc. But there will be one field where their services are incomparable. If you need more services in future you may hire them but only if they are up to your standards.

Do they follow a SDLC?

If they are a reputed software development company, they’ll be following a SDLC or Software Development Life Cycle. You need to ask the process of it and see how they follow through it. SDLC constitute of:
  1. Gathering and analyzing the requirements
  2. Designing
  3. Coding
  4. Testing
  5. Deployment
  6. Maintenance

These are the phases of SDLC and every service provider must follow them.

How are the developers?

Even a reputable company may hire a weak software developer. The unskilled or non-standardized software developer might not be able to deliver you with the services you were looking for. Ask the development company:
  • Do you have the professionals with updated skills?
  • Do they follow the standards?
  • Ask for the individuals’ performance and portfolio
  • Have they ever worked with a client like you?

Do they have the capacity to work on your project?

Sometimes, to generate business, companies agree to deliver their clients with the assigned work but later they either reuse to carry on or delay the project. You must be sure that the software development company has sufficient time to work on your project and deliver you the software as promised.

Visiting their office is not a bad idea to get to know about this. You’re investing in the new software and your future project is in their hands now. You have the right to ask as many questions as possible.

The size of the company

This also matters. A larger company means a reputable company, no delays, variety of skills and services. The structure of the company will also matter. There must be a sales team, a developing and a designing team and their will also be software consultants. The rest may constitute the admin, the accounts, the HR and the management team.

Years in business

The more years a business spends, the more chances of expertise they’ll have. A much older firm will know how to survive in tough time, how to hire and retain the best personnel, what are the current market skills in demand, will be more efficient and effective and can provide services in vast array with best services.

Hiring a software development service provider is not an easy job. You need lots of research and time. When found the right software developing company, don’t just leave them on their own but be with in every process of the software development. This will help you to know where your project is leading you, where it needs amendments and also how well the software developers are performing.

Few Tips For Freelancer Interview

Job interview is very important to get the desired jobs and the ideal employee. No one can deny their importance, but for a freelancer, interviews are more of a routine stuff. As being a freelancer, we have to deal many near - interview experiences whenever a client approach us with a project.  I collected a few tips for acing a freelancer job interview. Adopting these techniques will help you to nail your freelance experience.
1.  Always encourage the interviewer and the interviewee to record the conversation. Recorded conversation will help both the parties to avoid any future misunderstanding. This is so because, unrecorded conversation often leads to misquoting from either side. Situations can be different depending upon the state’s laws and regulations.
2.   Majority interviewees faced interview nervousness every time they appear in an interview. In the moment of nervousness, they usually ruin their talent which is not only detrimental for the freelancer, but also for the hiring manager as he lost the valuable human resource which could have added to the company’s star progress. To avoid this situation, the interviewer should initiate the conversation with lighthearted and casual questions. Raise the questions which give some space to the freelance job seekers to talk about themselves as everyone feels comfortable to talk about themselves. This will give them enough time to compose their nerves and get ready for more technical questions. Getting your interviewee more comfortable with you is the key to get the best out of them.
3   Half listening will destroy the conversation on both tables. Be an active listener and understand what the other side is sharing. For example, if you are getting interviewed for freelancer job and during the interview you didn't bother to listen to the other side, it will communicate a non-professional approach of yours to the opponent. Whereas, on the part of the employer, if you listen actively to them it will help them to open up more casually in front of you and you will be in a better position to estimate their talent.
4.  Most of the time we build up assumptions before the interview even started. Let the story unfold itself at the later stage instead of jumping to conclusions immediately. Already build expectations will pollute your assessment during the interview process and it can also cause disinterest in the entire interview process.  As an extra note for the interviewee, don’t store your mind with too much of a story before the interview as you may fall short of new stuff during the interview.

Conclusion: Freelancer job interviews are not much different from the regular interviews, but the interviewer and interviewee needs to be well prepared as well as open minded. We need to state facts straight and hence we can achieve the desirable consequences in the interview process for both the parties.
