Nearly in every organization
employees are seen complaining about those in management jobs. “My manager is so dumb
that he can’t even do his job”, “I hate my management. They never appreciates me”. OK! I believe you. But did you ever look at yourself? Why do you think that
you’re better than your management? How can you say that your management is so
dumb that they can’t even do their own jobs?
I’m sorry for being so rude,
but I really don’t like such complaining attitude. I’m not into management job nor
part of the decision-makers but an executive. I hear and observe such behaviors
all the time. And this makes me so frustrating that I feel to leave such
complainers all alone and don’t talk to them ever. But this isn't me. As I've better ways to deal with such whiners. What I do is simple and easy:
- I snoop to such whiners but don’t boost-up their anger. After heeding to what they've to say I simply try to cool them down by different ways. “Man you’ll find such management far and wide, you can’t change them your way but you've to adjust yourself.” You don’t have to adapt yourself just like them but try something as their perceptions and try a little to bring something new in them. The first half is easy but the real challenge is to change them. But believe me it isn't that hard, unless your management is a real jerk. If your boss is just like this way, it might be the right time to complain to the higher management or go out and start finding new job opportunities.
- The other thing I use to avert their attention is to warn them that it is a sin to talk bad of someone on their back. If you have some real issues with the ones holding the management job, talk to them or to the senior management. But remember that you have to make it certain that you were not wrong or bad with them at all. This make the whiners stop complaining and they start thinking “maybe I've done or said something wrong. Maybe I need to change myself first.”
- And if nothing works, simply throwing a joke or talking fun or something thrilling diverts their mind and they feel a bit light.
When you’re in an employment
remember that you won’t get everything as you imagined. Being in an employment isn't that easy. BUT not that hard too. You've to be a little smart or should I
say DIPLOMATIC. Few tips to make your job a much happier job:
- Think positive and think big
- None is your friend and none is your enemy
- You’re there to learn and earn, so just do these. Don’t try to change the world, as this isn't the right time
- Communicate effectively and serenely
- Respect everyone
I’m doing pretty well with my
job and with the ones in management jobs. I've days when my performance goes below the lowest
acceptable level, yet my management don’t whine. And the reasons being the
above pointers. I knew them all but start practicing them as I got my current
job. Employments not only teach us how to do our jobs, how to improve our
skills but they also teach us to work in an organization, how to become a pro
and helps us in building leadership and managerial skills.
So fellows stop complaining and
start acting and curl in your career.
